Strepsils Extra Blackcurrant contains Hexylresorcinol 2.4mg – an ingredient which is both antibacterial to fight bacterial throat infections but also has anesthetic properties to numb throat pain. Suitable for Adults and Children over six years. The presence of an antibacterial agent in lozenges has not been shown to have a beneficial effect on the severity or duration of sore throat.
